About Biogas Cylinders
Adsorbed Biogas (ABG) tanks are a biogas storage and transportation solution that allows biogas from production sources to be stored and transported for use at other locations.
Previously, digester owners often faced limitations in storing or transporting excess biogas economically. When biogas production exceeds immediate consumption needs, the excess gas is potentially wasted through release into the atmosphere or burned via a flaring system. This situation prevents the energy potential of biogas from being optimally utilized.
With ABG Cylinders technology, biogas that has undergone processing and compression can be stored and transported more efficiently, allowing biogas produced at one location to be utilized at another as needed.
The ABG system can be integrated with biogas cleaning, drying, compression, and filling manifolds, and can be configured based on production capacity, storage requirements, operating pressure, and project conditions.
Key Advantages:
Storage — stores biogas for later use.
Transportation — enables biogas to be transported from the source to the user’s location.
Flexibility — allows biogas to be utilized beyond its production site.
Better Utilization — reduces the risk of biogas being wasted when production exceeds immediate demand.
System Integration — can be integrated with cleaning, drying, compression, and filling systems.
Scalable Configuration — the configuration can be tailored to project needs.
Adsorbed Biogas Tanks (ABG) are designed to store biogas that has undergone cleaning and compression, allowing for more flexible storage and transportation. The pressurized storage system enables biogas to be collected from production sources and made available for use or distribution as needed.
ABG tanks are available in a variety of sizes and configurations that can be tailored to project needs. The selection of storage capacity takes into account biogas production volume, filling pressure, distribution requirements, filling frequency, and on-site operating conditions.
